Method of doing Paschimottanasana yoga:

  • Sit on the yoga mat by spreading both legs very straight, there is no distance between the two legs and keep the legs as straight as possible.
  • Keep the neck, head, and spine straight.
  • Keep both palms on both knees.
  • Lean the head and trunk slowly forward and touch the toes with the fingers of the hands without bending the knees.
  • Take a deep breath and exhale slowly and try to touch the head and forehead with both knees.
  • Now bend the arms and try to touch the ground with the elbow and exhale completely, remaining in this posture for some time.
  • Then after a few seconds come back to the first position and breathe normally, repeat this asana 3 to 4 times.

 

2. Supta Baddha Konasana / Reclining Bound Angle Pose

  • Now bend the right leg and place the foot on the ground near the left buttock.
  • Bring the right hand over the left leg.

  • Now bend the neck so as to focus the gaze on the left shoulder, rest the left hand on the ground and breathe normally.
  • Stay in the pose for 30-60 seconds.
